Clearly, we are succeeding in restoring cars with generous support from our sponsors, donating every penny to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital — we are over $1.4 million donated to date with 2024 shaping up to be our biggest year yet. However, rather than just raising money and handing it over, we are getting the young patients involved on this next build and are working with them to bring a car to fruition. To that end, we have secured a 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP and will allow the kids at Phoenix Children’s to collaborate on the restoration. They will work together to choose the color of the exterior (via a vinyl wrap), the color and style of the seats/interior, the style of wheels, as well as interior trim and accessories. From there, our sponsors are donating the pieces and the kids will see “their car” come to life over the coming weeks. Once completed, the car will sell for the benefit of PCH Integrative Medicine, and the “Patient Design Team” will share in the collaboration and take pride in the accomplishment.
